Ngorongoro Crater
Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s biggest intact caldera and home to 30,000 wild animals, including leopards, elephants, lions, and rare black rhinos. Grab the chance for a game drive without any worries about transportation from Arusha on this small-group excursion.
Board a 4×4 to see flamingo-filled lakes and spot animals roaming the plains, all the while gaining insight into Ngorongoro’s wildlife and geology from your driver-guide. A picnic by a hippo pool and round-trip transfers from Arusha are included.

After receiving a pick-up at Airport and being driven to your hotel, you will meet our guide, who will provide you with information about your forthcoming trip and ensure that you have all the equipment you need.
At 0600 hrs in the morning, be ready for a pick-up from your hotel or your stay in Arusha town, your driver guide will collect your picnic lunches and drive 190 km on the tarmac road to the Ngorongoro Conservation entry gate.
From the gate, drive to the Crater Rim and spend a few minutes for an awesome view of the Crater from the top, descend into the crater floor for a day of game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena, and more… Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures, and more other bird families.
After lunch, your picnic lunch will be served at the Crater picnic site at Ngoitokok Swamp, a Hippo pool. Proceed with afternoon game viewing. At 1500 hrs, ascend the Crater and drive back to Arusha.
You have the entire day to relax after safari or trekking before your return flight. You can see Moshi town, go on day trips, or get some souvenirs before leaving for the airport, depending on the time of your departure. If you want to explore Tanzania even further, there are add-ons like safari and Zanzibar.
